Fluo

Fluo turns any local folder into a fully published and customisable website online.

1.  Put some text or image files in a folder on your computer.
2.  Hit "Sync & Publish!".
3.  Done! You get an online HTML website organized like your folder.

Fluo is a background tool that transparently generates and uploads static websites. Useful for instance to make and maintain a blog or a showcase site.

• Total ownership.
  Add, edit, publish, draft, delete at will. No middleman between you and your data.
• Write the way you like.
  No clunky web admin interface, write with your favorite text software. For now only plain text and Markdown formatting are handled, but more should come in the future.
• For anyone.
  No database, no config beyond FTP logins, no trendy framework to learn. Behind the scenes it's pure HTML and CSS. Democratizing web publishing.
• Full customization.
  Don't like how your website looks? Simply add a CSS style sheet or a custom HTML model anywhere in your folder to change the visuals for all children pages.

** Important Remarks **

• In order to publish with Fluo you need to own a web host with an FTP access.
• This is not a 'cloud' backup solution. It won't touch your local data, but might overwrite or delete existing online .html files. It is advised to start in an empty FTP directory to avoid losing anything.

Fluo is the result of a couple of weeks of work in frenzy mode. I don't know yet how big it will turn out, but I intend to expand this idea further. It's free to use for any type of web projects. Donations are of course welcome, though at this point it's better yet to spread the word around if you like it!
